The start of a big adventure! Flying into Birmingham we had a chance to visit a few people before heading off into France. Great catching up with a lot of people not seen for many years.

10:45

'In transit' Sorry, this was about as exciting as it got for 24 hours. Emirates really not that bad at all though smile

06:10

Some had said that the Emirates 777 would be a bit cramped, but really, where's the problem? wink 4 seats each. Nice smile

06:55

B-b-b-b-back in B-b-b-b-Blighty. B-b-b-b-bloody c-c-c-c-cold! wink

22:42

Pratiwi posing in the snow in Dad's garden. Does this mean we're acclimatised now? smile

22:47

And the captain obvious award goes to... wink #RiskOfIce

17:45

Sunset from sunny Scunny. Actually living up to it's name today smile

07:28

Brrrrr... #minus7

17:37

Last set of random snowy scenes from Scunthorpe before heading South.

18:20

Pictures from that lunch in Kenilworth. Hmmmmm... nom, nom, nom! tongue

07:51

Our home last night: The Old Barn at Little Marlow. Stroke of luck finding this place. Historic & very cosy B&B.

14:25

Outside the Old Barn in Little Marlow. Oh, and red phone boxes being rare and all...

18:30

Typical tourist shots: Pratiwi at Windsor castle. Didn't have time to go in... or was I too tight to pay? wink

19:00

Wildlife in Richmond Park: deer and tropical birds braving the winter. Yes - those birds being here is very bizarre!

20:35

Lunch at Carluccio's, St Christopher's Place. Nom, nom, nom tongue

23:15

Afternoon tea (well - I had it green) at Caffé Concerto, Picadilly. Nom, nom, nom (take 2) tongue

00:00

Tourist snaps from Piccadilly Circus.

08:19

Tourist shots: London Eye, Palace of Westminster & Abbey, Admiralty Arch, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace. Phew!

08:35

Some more 'out there' shots from yesterday. Cloudy skys, flat light, not the best conditions I'm afraid sad

13:20

Sunrise in Wimbledon. Not bad for the big city.

19:05

Seeing how the other half live: Hinton Ampner on a rainy winter's day. Nice little place, even has it's own chapel.

11:30

Had an excellent Sunday lunch at The Fox, North Waltham. Thanks to Mr W for the tip and coming to entertain us smile

19:30

Visit to 'The Vyne', a 16th century country house. Nice, but a bit large. Think we'd rather have the smaller one smile
