July 1999 Pics

Thredbo Sunrise (62K)31 July 1999
Hey, what a cool sight to wake up to... a full moon (yes, that blob in the sky is the moon) above the Gum Tree lined slopes at Thredbo.
Snow Rosellas (74K)31 July 1999
If, like me, you thought that birds of the parrot family were found only in warm climbs, this one's for you. A pair of Crimson Rosellas hanging out on the neighbours balcony on a crisp Thredbo morning.

August 1999 Pics

Thredbo Slopes (59K)
1 August 1999
Looks like a great day for skiing as the frost glistens atop of the parked cars and we see a cloudless blue sky above the slopes at Thredbo.
Thredbo Rob (123K)1 August 1999
Hanging out before the first run of the Aussie Corporate Games GS (that's not-so-Giant Slalom). And don't we look cool in those vests?
Slalom Rob (69K)1 August 1999
Erm... Rob shows his not so professional technique crossing the finish line of the rather short slalom course.
Snow Gum (128K)1 August 1999
One of the better features of the NSW ski slopes - the picturesque Snow Gums that line the runs and are dotted around the rest of the slopes.
Thredbo Ski Group (88K)1 August 1999
Taking a well deserved break on this glorious day (yes - check out that sky) at the top of Threbdo.
South From Mt Hutt (88K)
14 August 1999
Looking to the south from very nearly the peak of Mt Hutt, New Zealand. The Cantubury Planes are hidden by the clearing clouds below as we see the rest of the southern alpes streach out for miles - awesome.
North From Mt Hutt (72K)
14 August 1999
From the top of the Towers run here at Mt Hutt, looking north.
Mt Hutt Coulds (63K)14 August 1999
What a view... taken from the Mt Hutt access road after a great days skiing. Not a cloud above us and nothing to be seen below but the Southern Alps jutting through low lying clouds.
Snow Tube Patrick & Jane (83K)21 August 1999
On the snow tube up to Blue Cow. Patrick shows us how to effectivly apply sun screen... not!!!
Sunscreen Alex (86K)21 August 1999
Having a spot of brekkie at Blue cow. Not to be outdone by Patrick's earlier efforts, Alex is having a field day with the lotion.
Perisher Sunset (66K)21 August 1999
Catching the sun setting from mountain top, Perisher Blue. Well, just by the Snow Tube terminal at Blue Cow to be exact.
Perisher Sunset (44K)21 August 1999
Sunset looking west (where else?) from the restaurant at the Snow Tube terminal... pretty cool cloud formation, eh?
