6 October 2001 Here's something you don't see every day - someone catching waves in the middle of a city far from any ocean!
The river here was pretty fast flowing, and due to the contours on it's bed this perminant wave was formed. Pretty cool, huh?

6 October 2001 The Hacker beer 'tent' during the Munich Beerfest. I think 'tent' is being a little too humble. More like a warehouse to contain the masses as they drink and dance and eat, etc.

6 October 2001 The main drag of the Munich Beer Fest, as taken from the top of one of those rather girlie rides (you know - the ones that fire you up a large drain pipe?).
6 October 2001 Oooo... check this 'temporary' rollercoaster erected at the end of the festival. This is mighty impressive for something that must only be here temporarily.
Rides like this and loads of beer... hmmm... is this a good combination?
