Ahhh... it's been a nice summer, living in Manly, learning (or is that trying?) to surf, doing a little diving and playing a little squash. Partying a little too wink

Anyhow - tomorrow Rob heads off up and over to Broome, then will be partaking in a little jaunt through The Kimberly over to Darwin, round Kakadu, down through the red centre, Coober Pedy, Oodnadatta Track and onto Adelaide. Should be fun!

So, does anyone know Mr D is in Aus at the moment? Given this have been out of town for a while showing him around, which went something like: Fly Brissy, Drive Byron Bay, check out Surfers, etc, stay in Kingscliff. 4 nights on Fraser Island (3 camping, 1 direct on the beach in total isolation!). Fly Melbourne, drive the Great Ocean Road, visit Mt Gambia and Coonwarra wine region (hic!) then over to Robe and up to Adelaide for a flight back to Sydney. Phew!

Sunday 21 December 2003

Have been back in Sydney for a while now, moved to Manly a couple weeks ago and am trying to make the most of living by the beach. Oh you know, hard as that is wink

Monday 17 November 2003

The trip to Hamilton got extended a little, ah well - such are the joys of the holiday. What happened was that after a half day in a sea kayak, decided to move my flight/accommodation around a bit and join in a 5 night camping foray around Whitsunday Island. Unfortunately we didn't quiet make it all the way round, but was very nice all the same (although some would say it was a bit of a mission!). Either way, back in Sydney now, for the foreseeable future (which in my case isn't long at all!).

Tuesday 4 November 2003

Ah... so here I am in Sydney (yup - didn't I mention this?) just chilling out. Attended the very nice wedding of K's on Saturday and popping up to Hamilton Island for another tomorrow - oh, and perhaps a spot of diving on the reef of course smile

Thursday 23 October 2003

End of an era? Well, hardly, but today is my last with Tiscali in London. Will I miss the place? Hmmmm... have to be careful what you say here, never know who's reading. OK, well, yes and no - those of you who get the 'yes' vote know who you are... and as for the no? Well - I'm heading of for a nice long holiday of course, so what do you expect? wink

Sunday 5 October 2003

Some will already know - but in three weeks time I'm finishing up my job in London and heading back to Aus. Have a couple of wedding's to attend then figure a bit of trekking in the Aussie sun might be nice.

Actually, some more summer can't come too soon. Was in Madrid yesterday (taking in some culture this time!) and the return to London was a real shock. Brrrrrr!!

Sunday 10 August 2003

Back from another weekend in Morzine. Do rather like it there, esp. when there's not a cloud in the sky and you have a new bike to try out. Am beginning to think this is a worthy summer alternate to skiing - the bars on Saturday night were certainly reminiscent of après-ski in a French resort.

Only problem seems that rocks and gravel aren't quiet as soft to fall on at speed as snow. Luckily I didn't manage find out though wink

Monday 4 August 2003

Oh, lookie here... by the power of customer honesty had my camera previously thought lost in France (6-ish weeks ago) returned. Seems although you ask hire car firms to check their vehicles they don't, but luckily the next customer did, so voila! Look at the updates below for piccies from here when I get round to it.

Monday 7 July 2003

Morzine? Mountain bikes? Oh yeah! Just spent a very nice weekend of sunshine, cycling and a bit of sightseeing on the way home.
