Churches everywhere in Lisbon. Feels like on every corner! A couple of the more ornate ones we wondered into today.
Quick look around a very quiet Saint-Felix-Lauragais. Nice view from chateau but wow - this landscape looks very dry!
Today's ride: lovely sunny loop from Chiemsee round by Reit im Winkl & return. Felt flat as a pancake!
Morning tootle on the bike. Austrian valleys, lakes, churches & castles under brilliant blue skies. Beautiful stuff.
Stunning scenery & brutal gradients. Passes Falzarego, Valparola, Falzarego - again - & Giau. Utter perfection.
Grey day in the Dolomites so little stroll in the village (La Villa) & stumbled across this pretty little church.
Morning wonder around San Sebastian. Overcast & quiet, but still lovely. Now... which of these tapas bars is open?
Might be a bit nippy today, but makes for some crazy clouds up in the high stuff. Love the ever changing views here.
Random villages lucky enough to get some late afternoon sun... not that there's much warmth to it this time of year.
I often ride by this little church but today just couldn't help but stop to take a shot to share the view. Fabulous!
Passing the church at Niembro cove & thought it pretty enough for a picture. The joys of random travel
Appears there aren't many stone churches in Norway, but is one here in Luster. Very quirky! Dates from around 1200AD.
Passing through Lom so quick look at the stave church. Origins in 12th century, but rebuilt in the 17th apparently.
Short walk up the 'waterfall steps' & to the little church in Geiranger. Nice view, but it's better from higher up
Random little church we passed on the drive today. Bit of restoration going on so we couldn't go in though.
A very quick, grey & chilly stroll in Ypres before dinner.
The church of St Anne (or Anna?) in Brugge. Just passing by on our walk into the centre of town but still impressive.
Arriving at Mertloch in the evening sunshine, spotted a church off in the distance. Just random German countryside.
L'église Saint-Laurent in Aas. Get's you closer to god?
Trinità dei Monti, top of the Spanish Steps: one of the more modest religious places we've seen here.
In Sankt Peter, but sadly we missed the monastery tour so had to be content with a look at the little church.
Part way up the cliff above Hallstatt we find the church Maria Ascension. With the world's most scenic graveyard?
Church of Saint-Séverin. Thought the garish (70s) windows & columns (supposedly in the form of palms) a bit unusual.
