View from Pico do Areeiro. Path to Ruivo closed due to fires (somewhere in the clouds). Would have done it otherwise.

Chillin' on the terrace after some yardwork. Sometimes we don't even need to wait 'til sunset for a light show here!
Last Pyrenees Cycl'n Trip bike only morning this year. Aubisque & Soulor. Magical climb through & above the clouds!
One of those 'waking up above the clouds' kind of days...

Coastal start today then a few inland cols, which while only babies still got me above the clouds. Always special.
Camping by Lake Annecy. Bit grey on arrival but remnants of today's storm look cool blowing over peaks on other side.
Random shots from today's instalment of 'Driving Through Switzerland in the Rain'. Bit of a theme forming here!
Driving the Susten Pass (2,264m) in rain & fog. You'd think it would suck but: wow! Love me some misty mountains!
Beaut day up the Tourmalet, if a tad breezy. Obligatory banana gets defocused as little fluffy clouds look nicer
V.happy Pratiwi after glass or 2 of lunchtime wine, with great food of course, La Seu d'Urgell. Lucky I'm driving
Lunch above clearing clouds @ Refuge Orisson. Great steak & Gateau Basque - of course - nom! Fantastic experience!
I rode here the day before & so beautiful drove Pratiwi up to see. Roads above the clouds always feel very special
Today's ride: Basque Epic from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Brutal gradients. Beautiful scenery. To Spanish border & back.
Today's ride: Above the clouds in glorious sunshine. Col d'Aspin. Sublime.
Wake up, check weather: Fog. But outside seems sunny. Actually get up & look out other window. Ah - here it comes!
Sunset after a brief storm this evening. Hope this means more sunshine tomorrow!
Hmmmmmmm... call me crazy, but think there might be storm coming...
Goldern Hour. If only there was somewhere close we knew we could pass by to snap the crazy clouds this evening
Afternoon stroll: Col de Beyrede to ridge above. Just made snow line. Spectacular & one of the best short walks here!
Lovely Autumn day and just wondering around in the Pyrenean foothills. Sunshine. Fresh air. Tranquillity. Perfect.
Big week of riding ends with loop to next valley & home over this little climb. Stayed dry despite the clouds. Phew!
Welcome to Lyon! This is why we usually avoid cities, but GPS says it's best way North. Doh! Cool clouds though.
View down to Arreau as we drive the Col d'Aspin. The clouds rolled over as we climbed so was a bit nippy up the top!
Nice view of the city & 'burbs after takeoff. See you around Sydney! And some crazy top end storm a few hours later.
Interesting stuff parked next to East Midlands Airport. Ah, it's an Aeropark apparently. Plus obligatory clouds pic.

Awoke to a misty morning. Took a drive over Col de Marie-Blanque anyhow. Wow! Above the clouds is a different world!
Bit changeable out so just relaxing 'at home'. Clouds add something to the ever changing view from the lounge window.
The day before I rode up here in beautiful sunshine. Now look at it. The descent & climb side of Passo di Valcava.
Passed this mad storm front on the way home. Threw in some 'extreme' processing too. We managed to stay dry, BTW!
Cloudy ride today on the Grossglockner. 7° at the top where I arrived in short jersey sweating like a pig. Nice!
