4 hours later...! Yes, takes a while to get the garden half presentable after 3 weeks away & still much more to do!

Small wildflower patch I planted in the lawn. Seems a success? Erm, I think? Is this what it's supposed to look like?

Holiday over. 8 hours sorting garden in 32C heat. Mowing & trimming. Phew! Bit scruffy still, but better than it was!

Dug 2 barrows of rock from tiny area of lawn this AM. Thx to builders for dumping here sad Ready to seed now though

After 3 weeks away the lawn didn't go too mad, but still hours of mowing! Small bonfire too. Roast snail anyone?

Palace of Versailles gardens. Slightly less crowded, slightly warmer. Nice stroll to Grand Trianon & back.

Italian gardens are all about statues & hedges. So at the Boboli Gardens we saw lots of... erm... statues & hedges
