Go on then, as we're over this way...afternoon walk to Cirque de Gavarnie. Low clouds making it very moody up there!

Pic de Bazes. Amazing 360 view! Lucky descent/return down other side not quite as challenging but still beautiful

Time to climb! Around 600m vertical to Pic de Bazes from here. Spectacular views everywhere to soak in on rest stops.

Funky coloured rocks near the start of our hike. Could go up there, but not why we are here today!

Natural(ish) swimming pools at Porto Moniz. For me, wasn't really hot enough to warrant a swim & was rather nippy in!

Short but steep hike through mostly shady forest to Passerelle d'Holzarte. Cool suspension bridge over a deep gorge.

Dug 2 barrows of rock from tiny area of lawn this AM. Thx to builders for dumping here sad Ready to seed now though

Another rock/gravel delivery. 'Only' 13t but few big ones in there so workout time! Beer bottle for scale, honest! grin

We made it to Norway! First impressions: Views from the road so far & this random coastal spot would say it seems OK!
