Go on then, as we're over this way...afternoon walk to Cirque de Gavarnie. Low clouds making it very moody up there!

Lac de Gaube & Pont d'Espagne... always a great hike. Beautiful (mostly) sunny autumn morning.

Lac d'Estaing stroll. Making friends with locals grin Bit calmer than visit the other week & lake is like a mirror!

Grey start today, but when the sun came was beautiful hiking through autumnal forest, passing small streams & falls.

Random sightseeing by car: Sainte-Marie de Campan (bonus sheep expo), llamas of La Mongie & roadside waterfalls.

Part 1 of today's hike: down to the waterfall source of this levada, through lush forest & past fern walls. Magical!

Road near Ponta do Sol, semi-closed due to waterfall in the middle! Incredible shots from Pratiwi as I drove through!

Crystal clear Lac d'Estom & the equally pristine Gave de Lutour. Many shallows & waterfalls on this hike. Stunning!

Beautiful short hike by Rio Aguas Limpias. Saw a few falls but from noise in gorge below are plenty more out of view.

Rhine Falls, Europe's largest waterfall (by volume). We were passing so had to have a look, but a little puny TBH

Passing Latefossen again few kays from home. Pretty spectacular in the afternoon sunshine & with a little less mist!

Latefossen few km into today's ride. Tourists & water all over the road. Bit of wind & everyone has an early shower!

You may think, "Not another waterfall!" but Steinsdalsfossen is different: you can walk behind it which is very cool!

This valley has 200m waterfalls & stunning water, but not even on the tourist map. Norway is overflowing with beauty!

Pretty bleak day to travel! 2 huge waterfalls flow through bridges under the RV55 at one point. Standard stuff here!

Lunch stop overlooking famous '7 Sisters' waterfall. On the zoom a tiny farm like that we passed is visible. Crazy!

This being Geirangerfjord, boat ride is a little (slight understatement) scenic, & being Norway is a little overcast!

Short walk up the 'waterfall steps' & to the little church in Geiranger. Nice view, but it's better from higher up

This is Gudbrandsjuvet. One of many tiny 'gorges' at the roadside. Not that spectacular, but good excuse for a stop.

Time to leave Andalsnes area & head South. Which means a drive up Trollstigen. Not as much fun as riding it though

This is Slettafossen: a slot in the rocks the raging Rauma River is squeezed through. Not really a waterfall though.
