Got home from today's ride to find Pratiwi had prepared a light lunch which we enjoyed on the balcony. So lucky!
By the lake shore in Zell am See, then a bite to eat. Lake, mountains, beer, food... what more could you want?
Stuck in a German beer garden in torrential rain. Luckily we have the essentials: big umbrella, more beer & pancakes!
Best dish ever? Pork steak, fried onions & sautéed potatoes topped with wurst wrapped with bacon. Nom, nom, nom!
Dinner at Porto Bello. Traditional German (the name surprised us!). Accordion guy made some (thankfully good) noise!
Dinner at Hotel Gasthof Alter Wirt in Farchant. Authentic German fare. Simple, cheap & tasty. Just how we like it!
Upon arrival in Farchant... enjoying complimentary cakes, coffee & tea. We even had to decline a second helping!
Breakfast at Altes Brauhaus in Rothenburg ob der Tauber (not too shabby for 300 years old!), & the aftermath. Yum
Dinner in Schotten. What else but beer & schnitzel? Nice place but so quite. Think we have whole hotel to ourselves!
Pratiwi was so happy to find an Indonesian restaurant here in Vaals. Great food! The Dutch colonial connection helps.
Tunisian food for dinner in Arras. And lots of it! Very tasty too
Café dinner with @sparkyweston & family - sadly not shown here - after a big day walking around Paris.
Another Paris café moment. More duck, more Leffe but this time mixed with a burger. Yum!
Lunch in Jardin des Tuileries. Best part (as seems to be the case with most places in Paris) was the large desert!
Dinner at Montmelard. Lobster & quail & snails & the like. Best chocolate desert ever. Nice view of sunset too!
Afternoon at Lac Chambon, then back again for dinner & walk after. Funny having raclette in summer, & with no heater.
Evening picnic by le Plan d'Eau de Mialet (Mialet dam). Took a random road in search of a quiet spot and voilà!
Very nice lunch at Auberge du Parc, Hautefort. Perch wrapped in some crispy pastry stuff and other goodies. Yum!
More duck as dinner for me. Foie gras (as we are so close to Thiviers) & veal for Pratiwi. Plus huge deserts. Yum!
Dinner at l'Auberge du Bouic in Ayros-Arbouix (at the base of the Hautacam climb). Nom, nom, nom!
Hmmmmmmmmmm... Drinks and nibbles...
Post ride casserole. Yum!
A little afternoon snack. Hmmmmmmmmm...
Light lunch on the gîte terrace. Bit cloudy on the mountains behind but the sun is shining on us at the moment!
Failing to find a cafe with views we settled for lunch parked in the rain. 6€ will buy you this in an Italian bakery.
A little pre-dinner walk in Barolo & what may be the best dinner of our Europe trip yet. Food here was sooooo good
Time to go home. Oh go on then... just one more free snack. This time prosciutto wrapped bread sticks. Yuuuum!
Wasn't going to go riding this arvo (it's a bit windy & want to watch the Giro). But now thinking I perhaps should
Lunch in Malaucène. Entrée and main... don't think desert was on the table long enough for a picture
Hmmmmm... roast chicken for lunch. Although the Indonesian interpretation of roast potatoes is a little unusual
Upon discovering la supermarché closes midday on a Sunday one just has to make do with wares from la boulangerie
The girls at dinner in Vaison-la-Romaine. A little celebration as it's been a while
Integrating at the local 'Flower Festival'. Not many flowers, but they had crêpes & other goodies so who cares?
Lunch in Uzès. Pratiwi tucking into her steak tartare. Nice as it was, think I'll stick to my pizza thanks!
What's better than a great morning's ride? Coming home to find someone has cooked a delicious meatloaf for lunch!
Afternoon snacks... in a kindof arty way. Not quite the look I was after but tasted good all the same
Simple home made dinner of leak, onion & chicken soup with garlic bread. Yuuuuum
Lunch in one of the many lovely little squares you find in Nîmes. That you find all over Europe for that matter
Hmmmmmmmmm... Cookies Pratiwi is so happy with her home made baking. Yeah, I won't complain either
Not for the squeamish Dinner of very rare wild boar which was excellent, and more duck for Pratiwi. Yuuuum
Shopping for treats for our picnic lunch in the local patisserie. Hmmmmmmmm...
Dinner of duck & lamb in a very nice cost restaurant. Yuuuuum
Pratiwi enjoying a little treat from the patisserie that seems to have become a breakfast staple already!
Huge choice of all you can eat desert for 6€. Dangerous if the main wasn't so enormous neither of us had room for it!
I love Tartiflette but can't eat creme, so had to cry into my dish of lamb shank while Pratiwi enjoyed hers
Had an excellent Sunday lunch at The Fox, North Waltham. Thanks to Mr W for the tip and coming to entertain us
Afternoon tea (well - I had it green) at Caffé Concerto, Picadilly. Nom, nom, nom (take 2)
Lunch at Carluccio's, St Christopher's Place. Nom, nom, nom
Pictures from that lunch in Kenilworth. Hmmmmm... nom, nom, nom!
... and relax. It's been a very busy last couple of days but finally, nothing to do but relax and look forward
