This morning's ride was round a misty Lake Como. Menaggio to Bellagio. Shots on the ferry back home. Nice way to end.
Sitting on the balcony at dusk, looking across at the lights on the other side of Lake Como. Nice way to 'unwind'
Arrived in Menaggio & love the view. A few shots straight off the balcony. 12/85/300mm (DX) if you're wondering
In Italy, but had a look up a valley into Switzerland as we passed. Lakeside train station here: nice waiting room!
Late-ish afternoon ferry back across Lake Constance. Great day! Some nice craft bobbing about here too.
Pfahlbaumuseum Unteruhldingen. Completely unpronounceable! Is an open air museum of stilt houses we passed today.
By the shore of Lake Constance. It's huge, with beautiful clear water as you can see. Waiting for the Mainau ferry.
Lake Constance at sunset. Hanging out with the swans... although Pratiwi finds them big & scary any closer than this!
A misty start to the morning looking down over Lake Brienz & Interlaken.
Another beautiful picnic spot for lunch, this time by Lake Thun.
Lac de Mauvoisin. A dam if the tunnels & wall don't give it away How much better would it be without those though?
Back down by the lake. Time for some to enjoy coffee & cake!
Ahhh... so this is what it looks like when the sun shines! By Lake Hallstatt - spectacular!
Rather overcast views across Lake Hallstatt. Pretty impressive all the same. Should look good on a blue sky day!
Königssee. Beautiful (allegedly the cleanest lake in Germany) but sadly only time for a very short walk here.
Weitsee near Reit im Winkl. Pretty little lake & nudist spot. Not that we knew that before! I'll spare the details
Passing Achensee couldn't resist having a little break and a stroll. Sadly a bit cloudy but nice all the same.
Despite how it looks this is a rather empty Sylvensteinsee Dam, looking back towards where we just came from.
Unusual semi-submerged statues by Amersee. And geese bullying Pratiwi. She'll stick to feeding ducks from now on!
Lake Annecy. Very beautiful, but such a traffic snarl up & busy in town! Would like to stay a bit longer next time.
Our hotel here is right by a small lake. Very pretty spot and very nice for an early morning stroll before breakfast.
Afternoon at Lac Chambon, then back again for dinner & walk after. Funny having raclette in summer, & with no heater.
Lac de Gaube. Clear blue water with that backdrop. Absolutely stunning. Had to stop for a bite to eat and enjoy
