Sea turtle conservation project in Sanur. When eggs are found in unsafe location they are hatched here then released.
After breakie by the beach... picked up a few more dishes to take home for an early lunch. Holiday theme emerging?
Breakfast treats from beach side food cart & warung. Chicken bun & roll then pork satay, soup & sambal. Hit the spot!
Morning stroll at Sanur Beach. Few clues we're in Bali - cos going on voices here you'd think it was 'straya mate!
Short but steep hike through mostly shady forest to Passerelle d'Holzarte. Cool suspension bridge over a deep gorge.
Another sublime lunch at Auberge d'Ahusquy. Yes, you correctly counted drinks followed by 4 courses! Nom!
So lucky to have this super cute new neighbour. Also lucky she hasn't learnt to roll in the mud like mama yet!
Pratiwi very happy to meet pigs on our walk today. Pigs equally interested. Who is more excited to eat who though?
Stopping to chat with the neighbours on this morning's misty walk.
Lunch @ Centre Routier l'Imprevu. 5 courses for 14.50. Very nice, esp. the cheese board. Must be bargain of the trip!

Obligatory, 'seek out Asian food whenever in a town larger than we are used to' lunch photo. Yin Ba, Annecy. Nom!
Quick (& damp) look Annecy old town. Part of a good tourist pic is making busy places look calm & it's only June!
We were given free public transport passes in Switzerland, so on our last day here used on cable car to Hasliberg

When lunch terrace has red shades - argh! Very nice steak & crepe/pizza thing + ice cream & soft cheese dessert. Nom!

Another boulangerie that's new to us, so obliged to try their cakes. Oh no! Pratiwi is clearly distraught too!
Montpezat-de-Quercy. Another lovely little medieval village, with commanding views over the surrounding countryside.
Short walk in Bruniquel. Love off-season tourism, have this beautiful medieval village practically all to ourselves!
In Toulouse for a routine appointment. Never miss a chance to visit fave Indian restaurant here. Nom, nom, nom!
Yesa Reservoir: Sea of the Pyrenees. Sadly seems there's been no 'sea' here for years. Quite surreal landscape today.
Mushroom, mushroom! Yes, 'tis the season to have fun searching for mushrooms our daily stroll
Finally up close with wild boar! Luckily seem uninterested in an Indo snack *May not actually be wild or boars
Midday stroll up a random hill. What a view! I can see the pub, erm, auberge from here too! Next stop lunch then!
Local horse family came over to say hi as we parked up at this random spot. Not much traffic around as you can guess!
In a bakery for dessert: huge slab of layered sponge & cream cake covered in marzipan & chocolate. Unusual & v. good!
Laufen Castle by Rhine Falls. There's a restaurant with beautiful terrace here, but it's bit warm for a Sunday roast!
Evening stroll in Vitznau, Lake Lucerne. Interesting train station here: Rigibahn was 1st mountain railway in Europe.
Onwards & upwards as they say! Last part of today's hike via Windegghutte. Few chains on this climb. Awesome route!
The Trift Bridge. Because why wouldn't you build a rope crossing between cliffs above a glacial lake? A. Maze. Ing!!!
Short & sometimes steep hike up to the Trift Bridge. So lucky it turned out nice Sure, this is pretty, but wait...
Stumbled across on this evening's walk: Aareschlucht Ost train station. Sliding doors in side of a mountain. So cool!
Driving the Susten Pass (2,264m) in rain & fog. You'd think it would suck but: wow! Love me some misty mountains!
Few minutes drive up the lake... Ciao Svizzera! Quick look around Ascona in the rain. Still beautiful

Rain & fog cleared by noon so: so much for a rest day. Mind you, this little forest hike was still pretty relaxing
Heading North from Prades we passed mile after mile of beautiful wildflower meadows. A very calming drive
Fantastic dinner of pica-pau (chicken in light gravy made with beer), mushroom rice & sardines. Super nom bargain!
In MNAA at lunch & couldn't find open tapas bar after. Had to settle for snack of pulled pork & cheese balls. Doh!
On a grey day, every city needs a pink street with rainbow umbrellas above!
